Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Business Manager to join Sheffield City Council, supporting the service to deliver effective business planning, financial management and continuous improvement. This is a temporary contract for 6 months with a view to extend. Key Responsibilities * Produce budget reports and financial forecasts to support effective financial management. * Support budget changes and contribute to service business planning. * Lead business improvement projects and implement changes to improve service delivery. * Develop and maintain performance management information, monitoring targets and identifying opportunities for improvement. * Manage business support processes and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders. * Ensure effective business continuity arrangements and support the Council’s emergency planning. * Lead on complaints, Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and Subject Access Requests (SARs), ensuring compliance with Council procedures. * Deputise for the Head of Service at appropriate meetings and support areas such as financial forecasting. * Lead and coordinate business support staff, monitoring performance, providing supervision and supporting staff development. * Manage team and service meeting schedules, forward plans and agendas. Requirements * A successful track record in a relevant business support or management role. * Experience across finance, HR, business continuity, change management and business support processes. * Strong financial and numerical skills, including the ability to produce and interpret financial reports. * Confident using IT packages, including Microsoft Excel and other information systems.
