Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Housing Support Worker to join a leading Housing Association on an ongoing temporary contract based in Bury.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of service users with multiple and complex needs.
  • Provide person-centred, strengths-based support tailored to individual needs and circumstances.
  • Support service users who have experienced homelessness or rough sleeping to develop the skills required for independent living.
  • Work with individuals to identify their goals, aspirations and support needs.
  • Develop and implement appropriate support plans to help service users achieve positive outcomes.
  • Encourage and empower service users to have greater choice and control over their lives.
  • Provide practical support with activities of daily living and developing independent living skills.
  • Build positive, professional and trusting relationships with service users.
  • Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns, following relevant policies and procedures.
  • Monitor, record and report progress, support plans, case notes and outcomes using an online CRM system.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure individuals receive appropriate support.
  • Recognise and respond appropriately to the needs of vulnerable people and those experiencing multiple disadvantages.

Requirements

  • Previous experience managing a caseload of service users.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable individuals with complex or multiple needs.
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness or rough sleeping.
  • Experience helping people identify goals and supporting them to achieve positive outcomes.
