Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Family Support Worker to join East Riding Council on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise family time between children who are looked after and their parents, carers, or other significant people, ensuring sessions are safe, supportive, and in line with agreed plans.
  • Support children before, during, and after family time, promoting their emotional wellbeing and safeguarding at all times.
  • Transport children to and from family time using your own vehicle, ensuring appropriate business insurance is in place.
  • Observe, monitor, and accurately record family time sessions, producing clear, factual, and timely written accounts.
  • Work in partnership with social workers, carers, and other professionals to support positive outcomes for children and families.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies, procedures, and professional standards.
  • Contribute to assessments and planning by providing feedback and observations from supervised family time.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in Education, Health & Social Care, or Children's Services.
  • Full UK Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle.
