Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced IT Security Officer to join Bradford Council on an ongoing temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Working within the Enterprise and Systems team, you will help deliver information and cyber security initiatives, support security technologies, manage cyber risks, and contribute to incident response activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support, maintain, configure, and develop IT security technologies and solutions.
  • Assist with vulnerability assessments, security reviews, and cyber risk mitigation activities.
  • Support the investigation and management of cyber security incidents, including evidence gathering and liaison with external agencies where required.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of information security policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Maintain and update cyber security risk registers and support actions to reduce identified risks.
  • Provide information security advice and guidance to colleagues across the Council.
  • Deliver security awareness guidance, training, and support to users.

Requirements:

  • Experience working within an ICT, IT Infrastructure, Cyber Security, or Information Security environment.
  • Knowledge of cyber security principles, technologies, and risk management.
  • Experience providing technical advice and guidance to users and colleagues.
