An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children's Residential Deputy Manager to join a well-established children's residential service in Haslingden. The home supports children and young people with EBD, SEMH, and challenging behaviours, many of whom have experienced trauma. This role is ideal for a confident Deputy Manager who is passionate about delivering high-quality, child-centred care and supporting staff teams to achieve positive outcomes.
The Role
- Deputising for the Registered Manager when required
- Supporting, supervising, and leading the staff team
- Working directly with children and young people with EBD, SEMH, and challenging behaviours
- Ensuring shifts are effectively planned and staffed
- Promoting a safe, therapeutic, and nurturing environment
- Working in partnership with external professionals and agencies
- Supporting compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
The Ideal Candidate
- A minimum of 12 months' experience as a Deputy Manager in a children's residential setting
- Experience working with children and young people with EBD, SEMH, and challenging behaviours
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare / Children & Young People Workforce (or equivalent)
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- A resilient, positive, and professional approach
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A full UK driving licence (preferred)
