An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children's Residential Deputy Manager to join a well-established children's residential service in Haslingden. The home supports children and young people with EBD, SEMH, and challenging behaviours, many of whom have experienced trauma. This role is ideal for a confident Deputy Manager who is passionate about delivering high-quality, child-centred care and supporting staff teams to achieve positive outcomes.

The Role

  • Deputising for the Registered Manager when required
  • Supporting, supervising, and leading the staff team
  • Working directly with children and young people with EBD, SEMH, and challenging behaviours
  • Ensuring shifts are effectively planned and staffed
  • Promoting a safe, therapeutic, and nurturing environment
  • Working in partnership with external professionals and agencies
  • Supporting compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards

The Ideal Candidate

  • A minimum of 12 months' experience as a Deputy Manager in a children's residential setting
  • Experience working with children and young people with EBD, SEMH, and challenging behaviours
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare / Children & Young People Workforce (or equivalent)
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • A resilient, positive, and professional approach
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A full UK driving licence (preferred)
