Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a highly skilled Band 6 Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) to join the healthcare team at a Category A prison in the Northeast of England. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide essential clinical care to a vulnerable population in a secure, fast-paced, and rewarding environment. Due to the nature of the setting, candidates with existing Prison or CTC Clearance are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients within the prison environment
- Undertake physical health assessments, wound care, and chronic disease management
- Administer medications and respond to medical emergencies
- Work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team, including mental health and substance misuse services
- Ensure all clinical records are completed accurately and in line with service standards
- Adhere to all safeguarding, security, and confidentiality protocols in place within the prison
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMC registration
- Minimum Band 6 experience, ideally within custodial settings
