Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Royal Holloway, University Of London, who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 3-6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience.

We are looking for an Assistant Legal Counsel – Contract Support. This role will be based in TW20 0EX – Part Time 3 days/21 hours per week, fixed term for two months, 1 day per week (Wednesday) on site.

The right candidate will:

  • Draft, review and negotiate a range of contracts across different departments within the university including procurement, partnerships and estates.
  • Advise on the risks associated with draft contract terms, options available and lead on contract negotiations as required.
  • Maintain accurate contract records and register of the agreements.
  • Liaise with academic and professional services to assist in progressing contract matters efficiently.
  • Undertake legal research as required, and monitor legal, regulatory and sector-specific developments and advise on their potential impact on the University.

We require the following:

  • Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 1 year Post-Qualified Experience, gained within general commercial contract law.
