Belmont Bowling Club, in the heart of East Belfast, are looking for an experienced, driven and motivated Bar Manager to take charge of the day to day running of our busy Clubhouse.

Are you:

  • Experienced in supervisory or managerial roles in hospitality
  • A natural leader, able to work effectively within a team and ensure efficient operation
  • Knowledgeable in stock control and bar operations
  • Creative, enthusiastic and driven to deliver excellent customer care

The Role:

You won't just be managing, you will be creating.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Setting up and managing day-to-day bar operations
  • Preparing and dispensing drinks to customers, using equipment & bar pumps efficiently and ensuring minimum wastage
  • Assisting with the organisation & set-up of events and private functions
  • Recruitment, training and mentoring
  • Managing stock, cellar and supplier relations
  • Managing staff, rotas, holidays and performance
  • Ensuring accurate and secure cash-handling procedures are followed
  • To promote & contribute to a productive working environment where all staff are treated with respect and dignity
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and report to Committee as required
  • Keeping checks on spillages, stock levels and sales
  • Ensuring Compliance with NI licensing, hygiene, health and safety policies & procedures

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bar managerial or supervisory experience (minimum of 2 years)
  • Strong operational, planning and organisational skills
  • A professional appearance
  • Ability to deliver an exceptional standard of customer service
  • Good knowledge of stock control, rotation and bar operations
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership abilities
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hygiene standards, health & safety regulations and liquor licensing requirements
  • Proficiency in training, performance appraisals and staff development

Required Criteria:
