The Executive Head Housekeeper at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons is the ambassador of our rooms. For the re-opening of Le Manoir, we are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Head Housekeeper to lead all housekeeping and laundry operations. In this pivotal role, you will establish the operational standards, recruit and train the pre-opening team, and ensure flawless attention to detail across all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to deliver an uncompromising guest experience.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
  • Pre-Opening & Strategic Planning
    • Develop and implement comprehensive housekeeping SOPs, service standards, and workflows.
    • Design and execute the pre-opening critical path for the housekeeping department, including equipment procurement, uniform selection, linen specification, and chemical management systems.
  • Operational Leadership & Quality Assurance
    • Oversee daily operations of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas, maintaining pristine standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.
    • Conduct rigorous daily inspections of rooms and public zones to guarantee adherence to luxury quality controls.
    • Manage the hotel's linen and uniform inventories, dry cleaning operations, and relationships with external laundry and amenity vendors.
    • Partner closely with the Engineering/Maintenance team to ensure swift identification and resolution of room defects and preventative maintenance programs.
  • Talent Management & Training
    • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and training of the housekeeping team.
    • Deliver continuous service and product training programs focused on luxury etiquette, product handling, safety, and efficiency.
    • Foster a high-performance, inclusive, and motivating work culture that prioritises employee engagement, retention, and recognition.
  • Sustainability & Innovation
    • Champion the hotel’s sustainability initiatives by integrating eco-friendly cleaning practices, reducing waste, and optimising energy and water consumption within housekeeping operations.

Requirements

What You Bring:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience as an Executive Housekeeper or Head Housekeeper within luxury or ultra-luxury hotels/resorts; pre-opening experience is strongly preferred.
  • Skills: Exceptional eye for detail and uncompromising standards of cleanliness. Strong financial acumen with proven experience managing departmental budgets and labour costs. Comprehensive knowledge of modern housekeeping chemicals, equipment, and safety regulations.
  • Attributes: Outstanding leadership and communication skills, ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure, and a proactive, guest-centric mindset. Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK.
