As the Depot Manager for the British Pullman, a Belmond Train, you are responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the depot facilities. In this role, you will oversee health and safety, depot maintenance, utilities, security, contracts, engineering stores and infrastructure improvement projects. Responsibilities
- Health and Safety Management: Oversee all aspects of health and safety, including compliance, risk assessments, emergency planning, inspections, accident investigation, and liaising with relevant authorities.
- Depot Infrastructure Maintenance: Manage the maintenance of depot buildings and infrastructure, ensuring good repair, testing, and compliance with building leases, including track and interceptor maintenance.
- Depot Equipment Maintenance: Manage depot plant and equipment maintenance and compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Operational Management: Utilities, cleaning contracts.
- Engineering Stores: Initially set up an engineering stores/inventory management system considering stock value, safety critical components, parts rarity, and lead time/costs of remanufacture. Once implemented manage the engineering stores function and liaise with other stakeholders within engineering department at the depot to ensure correct stock levels for day-to-day maintenance and heavy overhauls of the British Pullman train.
- Stakeholder and Project Management: Liaise with depot owners, manage depot access and stabling contracts, and oversee depot improvement projects.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations, conduct depot inductions, source equipment, manage Capex applications, and maintain depot security.
Requirements
- Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK.
- Proven experience in handling and coordinating Health and Safety and contract management.
- At least 3 years' experience in a depot management role.
- Literate and numerate, able to plan work and communicate effectively with in-house artisans, contractors, on-train staff and those of Network Rail, Depot Facility Owners, train operators, and other companies.
