As a Chef de Partie at Royal Scotsman, A Belmond Train, you are part of a team that creates and produces the highest quality cuisine. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious dishes that exceed our guests’ expectations. Primary Responsibilities Include:
- This is a seasonal role which runs from March to November. This includes a 4-week training period prior to welcoming guests in April.
- Preparing the mis en place required for a smooth kitchen operation and ensuring that the section is set prior to service.
- Ensuring adherence to all relevant health, safety and hygiene standards for the kitchen.
- Ensuring that the quality & quantity standards of preparation and presentation are adhered to.
- Preparing menus in collaboration with colleagues.
- Directing, guiding and assisting commis chefs.
What You Bring:
- Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK.
- 2-4 years’ relevant experience within a similar role, preferably within the luxury hospitality industry.
- Relevant culinary or hospitality diploma or certificate, e.g. graduate from a Hotel Management Institute or Food Production Course.
- Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of best cooking practices.
