Deputy Train Manager

As Deputy Train Manager at Britannic Explorer, a Belmond Train, you are part of a team that ensures the smooth operation of our train while providing our passengers with a luxurious and memorable travel experience. In this role, you are responsible for supporting the service delivery on board and the day-to-day management of resources required to deliver optimum service both on the train and at excursion destinations. Primary Responsibilities

Providing exceptional customer service to passengers, ensuring their needs and expectations are met or exceeded.

Supporting the Train Manager in overseeing all aspects of the train\’s operations, including scheduling, staff management and logistics to ensure a seamless and punctual journey.

Recruiting, training and managing a team of service professionals, ensuring that they deliver the service standards required.

Ensuring the safety and security of passengers, crew and the train itself. Implementing and enforcing safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Coordinating dining services on board, working closely with the culinary team to provide a fine dining experience.

Managing onboard amenities and services, including entertainment, spa services and other luxury offerings.

Requirements

Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK.

3‐5 years\’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the luxury hospitality industry.

A bachelor\’s degree in hospitality management, business administration or a related field is preferred.

Strong leadership and management skills to lead and motivate a team of professionals.

The ability to handle unexpected challenges and find creative solutions in a high‐end service environment.
