We deliver turnkey solutions for the design, manufacture and assembly of high-precision components and assemblies for the Motorsport, Formula Oneâ„¢ and Automotive sectors. Join our expanding Machine Shop team in the West Midlands operating the latest 5 Axis CNC Machines from Matsuura and DMG. You will be responsible for producing complex and precise components from aerospace grade materials while ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
We are currently recruiting for machinists on the following fixed shifts:
- Day Shift / 7:00 to 17:30 / Monday-Thursday
- Weekend Shift / 6am to 6pm / Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Principal Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate 5-Axis CNC machines to produce precision metallic parts for automotive and motorsport customers.
- Ensure that all components are manufactured to exacting specifications and tolerances by conducting manual inspections of your work using verniers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Maintain routine maintenance of CNC machines within weekly maintenance plans, including ensuring machine accuracy through routine calibration.
- Collaborate with the CAM Programming team and your fellow machinists to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a 5-axis CNC Machinist with a focus on precision manufacturing of small batch volumes and/or prototype components.
- High level of knowledge in Fanuc systems, including probing, kinematics, and G-codes.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a focused team.
- Reliable, proactive, and takes pride in the quality of work produced.
