There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UKs largest house builders. Our Eastern Counties Division located in Cambridge, is looking to recruit a Sales Office Manager to join the Divisions Sales team.

The role of Sales Office Manager is to be responsible for the sales administration process and to support the Sales Director/Head of Sales with all operational/administrative aspects of the sales office, whilst ensuring the highest level of service is provided to all customers. This is a pivotal role within our Eastern Counties sales team, helping to keep the sales office running smoothly and ensuring our customers journeys progress efficiently from reservation through to legal completion. You will work closely with the Sales Director, sales colleagues, solicitors and customers, you'll play an important part in supporting the division to achieve its sales and completion targets. You'll be joining a friendly, supportive, and fast-paced sales team where collaboration and attention to detail are key.

Principal accountabilities of the Sales Office Manager role include:

  • Co-ordinate the progression of sales from reservation from legal completion, including liaising with solicitors and collating legal documents as requested, ensuring all targets are achieved.
  • To train and coach sales administration staff and ensure they are aware of sales department responsibilities/duties, their work is to a high standard and delivered by the required timeframes.
  • To ensure adequate cover is provided in the sales office, to manage sales office holidays and ensure staff have knowledge of each others roles to cover for absences.
  • To ensure all sales systems are kept up to date and all sales reports are produced accurately and on time.
  • To make sure all customer telephone and email enquiries and related issues are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
  • To liaise with solicitors and provide co-ordination of legal documents.
  • To produce and collate information for inclusion in the board report and produce weekly, monthly and other reports as required by the sales department, divisional management and Group Head Office.
  • To co-ordinate the distribution of information between the sales department and other departments within the division.
  • To support Sales Director/Head of Sales on all day-to-day operational tasks.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience of providing high level administrative support to senior management.
  • Experience of working in a high-pressure environment with strict deadlines.
  • Evidence of leading an administrative team is desirable.

Qualifications and Training

  • No formal qualifications are necessary but evidence of relevant experience and skills will be required.

Skills and Aptitude

  • Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems.
  • A calm and professional approach to all aspects of the role.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
