Here at Langdons, we have an amazing opportunity for a Workshop Technician to join the team based in Motherwell. You will be working on a full time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday Wk1 06:00-14:00 Wk2 10:00-18:00 and in return, you will receive a highly competitive salary of £45,225.11 per annum plus excellent company benefits!
The Workshop Technician role:
- Ensures the company fleet is effectively serviced and repaired on a cost-effective and timely basis within company and regulatory requirements.

What you’ll be doing as our Workshop Technician:
- Ensuring vehicles are repaired and maintained in accordance with prescribed standards
- Preparing and presenting vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections
- Diagnosing vehicle-related defects using available diagnostic equipment and arrange for relevant action to be taken
- Liaising with vehicle manufacturers regarding acquiring of parts and replacement vehicles, keeping key colleagues informed of progress where necessary
- Ensuring high levels of safety and cleanliness at all times and that required house-keeping duties meet required standards
- Updating and maintaining appropriate records and ensuring all relevant information is shared with relevant departments on a timely basis
What qualifications and experience are we looking for in our Workshop Technician?
- Qualified to Level 3 or equivalent in HGV/LGV maintenance and repair
- Experienced in using transport repair tools and associated software
- Experienced in following established procedures and problem-solving and/or making sound judgements where not all information is available
