At Langdons, we’re growing, and we’re looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our team and play a key role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and on the road. We understand that flexibility matters. Part‑time arrangements may be considered and can be discussed at interview, however please note that this role will still require working within the rotating shift pattern.
This is a role where your skills genuinely make a difference. You’ll be working on a large, modern fleet, with a structured shift pattern, no weekend work, and the opportunity to boost your earnings through regular overtime.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensuring vehicles are repaired and maintained in accordance with prescribed standards
- Preparing and presenting vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections
- Diagnosing vehicle‑related defects using available diagnostic equipment and arrange for relevant action to be taken
- Liaising with vehicle manufacturers regarding acquiring of parts and replacement vehicles, keeping key colleagues informed of progress where necessary
- Ensuring high levels of safety and cleanliness at all times and that required house‑keeping duties meet required standards
- Updating and maintaining appropriate records and ensuring all relevant information is shared with relevant departments on a timely basis
