Bells of Lazonby have an exciting opportunity for a Food Production Operative to join the team. Location: Lazonby, Cumbria, CA10 1BG Salary: From £13.25 per hour, plus 25% overtime rates Job Type: Full - Time, Permanent Schedule: Various shift patterns available (must be able to work Saturdays on rotation) About Us: At Bells of Lazonby, baking has been at the heart of what we do since 1946. Still independently owned by the Bell family, we combine craft skills with large-scale production to create products we’re proud of, and we know the secret ingredient behind our success is our people. We have two bakeries on site in Lazonby – a conventional bakery and a dedicated “free from” bakery, from which we supply many high street coffee shops and major supermarkets with sweet bakery treats, such as cakes, traybakes, pies and tarts. Food Production Operative - Job Overview: We are looking for a dedicated Gluten Free Production Operative to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating machinery and assembling food products in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively within a team to meet production goals. Please note that the role involves heavy manual labour and standing for long periods of time therefore physical strength and dexterity is important. Shifts Available: Hours are 38.75 per week. Shifts will be a mixture of 4am to 12.15pm and 6am to 2.15pm, depending on production needs. Transport to work is available for candidates living in Penrith only.
