A Maintenance Care Technician takes responsibility for delivering a broad set of regulatory, planned and reactive maintenance services, to ensure our client’s premises are fit for both customers and colleagues. Skilled in delivering general maintenance you will work closely with the café team and our suppliers to deliver excellent customer experiences. You are the custodian of maintenance standards and are an able problem solver, taking ownership of problems to resolution. You always work safely and promote safe working practices. You are field based with responsibility for multiple sites.
What does it take?
- Assessing the risks to self, customers and colleagues prior to starting work, and implementing measures to control the risks identified.
- Being visible, attentive, courteous and responsive.
- Coordinating, reviewing and challenging supplier activity and standards.
- Providing guidance to site teams to prevent unnecessary maintenance.
- Owning tasks through to resolution.
- Communicating clearly and being comfortable to manage expectations.
- Working unsupervised to undertake regular and varied works as part of preventative and reactive tasks.
- Prioritising work to ensure people are safe and minimise impact to trade.
- Delivering KPIs through planned and preventative maintenance, and ensuring reactive fixes are achieved within service targets.
- Using the systems available to accurately record work completed, including times to complete and root cause of issues, as well as providing effective descriptions for further works which need to be raised.
- Meeting legal, compliance and health & safety standards.
- Asset label maintenance and asset condition reporting.
- Avoiding trade and operational impacts by planning out of hours activity.
Skills and qualifications:
- Awareness of cost and budget control.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
- Computer/PDA literate in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- A trade qualification demonstrating competence in electrical, mechanical, plumbing or building fabric.
- A proactive time served multi-skilled tradesperson.
- Full driving licence.

Working arrangements: In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work onsite in London Monday to Friday 06.00-14:30pm.
