Multi Skilled Engineer

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and reliable multi‑skilled engineer to carry out a range of planned/reactive maintenance tasks and help develop your career in building services.

How will you be the change?

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance in accordance with maintenance schedules.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on electrical and mechanical systems, including heating, ventilation, pumps, motors, lighting, and plumbing.
  • Assist with contractor supervision and monitor work quality and compliance.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety legislation, hospital policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Complete maintenance records, risk assessments, and documentation accurately using the engineering app supplied by Bellrock.
  • Support compliance with HTM (Health Technical Memoranda) and SFG20 where applicable.
  • Stay current with industry standards, codes, and regulations, ensuring compliance in all activities.
  • Ensure tools, materials, and equipment are used safely and stored correctly.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including correct use of PPE.
  • Provide excellent customer service when working in occupied rooms/areas.

What does it take?

  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent engineering qualification.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Ability to use common tools and equipment.
  • Previous experience in building services.

Working arrangements

Work from St George's Hospital, Tooting, SW17 0GT, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Flexible and remote working where business needs allow.
