Bellrock Group are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Head of FP&A to lead the financial planning and analysis function within our business. This is a fast-paced environment (Private Equity backed) that requires a proactive leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the executive team with high quality analysis, insight and challenge.

This role is based in our London office, with travel to Leicester c.1 day a week.

Key responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning and Analysis
    • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes, incorporating driver-based forecasting and scenario planning, and ensuring a collaborative and integrated planning approach.
    • Deliver accurate and insightful analysis with strong visual storytelling to support strategic decisions across the organisation.
    • Develop robust financial models to support contract performance reviews, new business opportunities, return on investment assessments and cash flow forecasting (direct and indirect).
    • Provide commercial insight on operational performance, cost efficiency and margin optimisation, through partnering with divisional cost modellers.
  • Board Reporting
    • Produce timely and high quality monthly reporting packs with clear and insightful commentary.
    • Support the board and private equity stakeholders with accurate financial information and performance analysis.
    • Identify performance trends, risks and opportunities and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Business Partnering
    • Build effective relationships across operational, commercial and contract management teams.
    • Provide financial support and challenge to operational leaders to ensure contract performance targets are achieved.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to the Commercial Finance Director and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead, mentor and develop the FP&A team (FP&A Manager and Finance BP Core Operations).
    • Drive improvements in reporting, processes and analysis capability.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Build strong working relationship with the Head of Data & Insights (Digital team), in particular to drive use of Power BI for the Finance function and ensure data quality and consistency.
Skills & experience
  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
  • Proven FP&A leadership experience, ideally within a private equity environment or a similar.
  • Corporate Finance experience (desired).
  • Strong people management capability with the ability to develop high performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong financial modelling experience, including 3 statement models.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to present information clearly and influence at all levels.
  • Commercial mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Energetic, driven and adaptable.
  • Able to work under pressure and at pace, and manage competing priorities.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism, taking pride in accountability and ownership.
  • AI fluency & learning mindset: We are looking for people who actively use AI in their day-to-day work, demonstrate strong curiosity about new technologies, and take ownership for continuously improving how they think, work, and deliver.
Working arrangements

We embrace smarter working practices which offer our employees the opportunity to work their hours flexibly and remotely where their roles and business needs allow. In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from the London office on a hybrid basis with one day a week being in our Leicester office.
