As a Lift Engineer at Bellrock, you will be part of our Critical Engineering team, delivering safe, efficient, and compliant lift maintenance and repair services across a range of client sites. You will ensure that lifts and associated equipment are serviced, maintained, and repaired to the highest standard, supporting our clients in achieving safe and reliable building operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing, and corrective repairs on passenger and goods lifts.
- Respond to reactive breakdowns and callouts, diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently.
- Undertake lift modernisation and upgrade works where required.
- Conduct routine testing and inspections in line with LOLER and BS 7255 safe working practices.
- Work with a variety of lift types, including traction and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with statutory and client requirements.
- Liaise with clients on-site, providing professional advice and excellent customer service.
- Participate in an on-call rota to support emergency breakdowns.
What does it take?
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 (Lift & Escalator Engineering) or equivalent.
- Proven experience in lift maintenance, servicing, and repairs.
- Knowledge of LOLER regulations and safe systems of work.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills across a range of lift systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good communication skills with a customer‑first mindset.
- Flexible and able to participate in callout rota arrangements.

Working arrangements

In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work from 12 Cock Lane, London, EC1A 9BU. Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm.
