As our Electrician, you will be responsible for the replacement of LED lighting throughout the building and supporting the engineering team to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of hospital facilities. You will play a key role in delivering the lifecycle replacement programme, maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, compliance, and customer service while supporting Bellrock's commitment to operational excellence and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Undertake LED lifecycle replacement works across the hospital estate.
- Produce and maintain work schedules to support programme delivery.
- Measure, scope, and estimate labour requirements alongside other team members.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to improve efficiency and productivity across all workstreams.
- Carry out electrical works safely and in accordance with current legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ensure full compliance with HTM guidance, HSE regulations, Electricity at Work Regulations, BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations, and all other relevant statutory requirements.
- Identify, report, and assist in resolving health, safety, environmental, or compliance concerns.
- Complete accurate worksheets, reports, and documentation, recording any changes or variations to works.
- Ensure Permit-to-Work documentation is accurately completed and reflects the work being undertaken.
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, maintaining ongoing readiness.
- Support the wider on-site engineering team when operationally required.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Promote energy-efficient practices and sustainable solutions wherever appropriate.
- Act professionally and respectfully when interacting with colleagues, patients, visitors, contractors, and client representatives.
Qualifications
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Qualification.
- Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671:2018 or current edition).
- Inspection and Testing qualification.
- Demonstrable experience undertaking electrical installation and maintenance works.
- Strong understanding of HTM requirements, health and safety legislation, and safe systems of work.
- Competent in the use of digital technology and CAFM systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to produce accurate reports and documentation.
Desirable
- Previous experience working within healthcare, NHS, or critical environments.
- Knowledge of lifecycle replacement programmes.
- IPAF and/or PASMA certification.
- Experience using mobile workforce management systems.
Working arrangements
