Since 2003, our peopleâfirst and technologyâled approach has helped organisations across the UK transform their estates into highâperformance, sustainable environments. Through our integrated service model spanning Technologies, Consulting, Critical Engineering & Jordon, and Intelligent Asset Care we deliver compliance, quality, and operational excellence while reducing cost and carbon impact.
As an FRA Lead Project Manager, you will be operating at a senior level within the FRA Department and be expected to support and manage FRA projects as directed in order to facilitate the successful delivery of highâquality FRA work and project delivery, as commissioned through Bellrock brands. You will support the Head of FRA in the delivery of a selected portfolio of some of our most prestigious FRA projects, focusing on nurturing key client relationships and ensuring that our clients receive great service and technical excellence.
You will lead a new project to embed a new team whose focus will be supporting Bellrock's wider client base on FRA services, acting as the main technical lead and 'trusted advisor' to clients, providing support and solutions to issues identified and developing strong client relationships. As a trusted advisor for clients, you will use tests of proportionality and the benefit gained from preventive and protective measures taken in response to risk, allowing consideration of cost for clients.
It is important that you establish that the advice provided is a riskâproportionate measure, taking into account other risk factors and fire safety features of the building. You will also need to develop a firm grasp on the commercial levers to drive revenue and profitability and understand and manage against attritional factors that can reduce the gross margin of the key accounts you have ownership of.
As well as this, you will be a role model for junior or less experienced consultants and encouraged to be a proactive member of a high performing team, sharing your knowledge and experience to help develop other team members. This includes upholding and abiding by both the company and professional bodies code of conduct and culture.
The role will involve travel to job sites as required and attendance at regional offices on occasion. We like to schedule a training/CPD day at least once per quarter and also make use of this time for team bonding and experience sharing. There is also the expectation that you will be responsible for managing and planning your time in advance, working with our project support team to meet Client needs.
What does it take? If youâre ready to be the energy that helps us build our business, share our success, and really own it as a FRA Lead Project Manager, youâll need:
- High degree of direction, selfâreliance, assertiveness, passion and enthusiasm to succeed.
- Good understanding of business risk and opportunities, whilst interpreting business needs and championing decisive action.
- Strong planning, communication, and people skills together with a "handsâon" approach with regard to managed projects.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, including a good telephone manner ensuring client relationships are constantly met with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise workloads and manage working time effectively.
- Maintain sound understanding of current legislation to advise clients accordingly.
- Professional membership at Member level with a Fire related professional body.
- At least 5 years demonstrable experience in managing teams.
- Sound knowledge of fire safety and fire risk, with a minimum of 5âyears' experience including demonstrable experience in conducting FRAs.
We embrace smarter working practices which offer our employees the opportunity to work their hours flexibly and remotely where their roles and business needs allow. In this role, the successful candidate would be required to work across various sites across the UK.
We offer 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays + 1 additional day as a thank you, salary exchange pension scheme, life cover, paid sick leave, and enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave.
