  • Holding senior accountability for technical compliance across electrical, mechanical, pressure systems, water hygiene, fire safety, F‑Gas, and specialist plant.
  • Ensuring adherence to UK legislation including EaWR, PUWER, LOLER, PSSR, COSHH, DSEAR, HSG274/ACoP L8, and Fire Safety legislation.
  • Leading internal and external audits, ensuring robust documentation control, overseeing RAMS approval and permit‑to‑work systems, and ensuring corrective actions are closed effectively.
  • Maintaining full traceability of compliance evidence suitable for regulatory scrutiny.

Critical Systems & Risk Management

  • Ensuring resilience of critical infrastructure including HV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, chillers, boilers, clean utilities, BMS, and life safety systems.
  • Overseeing redundancy strategies (N+1, 2N, etc.) and ensuring testing regimes validate system resilience.
  • Leading incident response and root cause analysis for technical failures.
  • Ensuring structured post‑incident reviews, lessons learned implementation, and risk register updates.
  • Maintaining documented contingency and emergency response plans.

Asset Management & Lifecycle Planning

  • Maintaining accurate asset data reflecting condition, criticality, redundancy, and remaining useful life.
  • Developing risk‑weighted lifecycle replacement plans and capital investment strategies.
  • Aligning lifecycle modelling with business continuity planning, ensuring critical plant replacement is strategically sequenced to avoid operational disruption.

Energy, Analytics & Intelligent Maintenance

  • Driving optimisation of plant performance through advanced analytics, BMS tuning, and performance monitoring.
  • Using data‑led insight to identify operational inefficiencies, failure precursors, and control strategy weaknesses.
  • Implementing predictive and condition‑based maintenance aligned to ESG objectives, carbon reduction targets, and operational resilience goals.

Account Director Responsibilities

  • Holding full P&L accountability including revenue delivery, margin performance, cost control, and financial forecasting.
  • Providing strategic technical advice to senior client stakeholders, translating engineering risk into commercial and operational impact.
  • Leading governance forums, performance reporting, and contract reviews with clear articulation of risk, compliance status, resilience metrics, and improvement initiatives.
