Being an Account Director for the Symphony Operate model is an extremely exciting opportunity to approach service delivery in the facilities industry in a completely new and industry-leading way. Your strategic leadership and operational management of high-profile, multi-site accounts delivering Hard FM in the private and public sector will be data-led supported by the best technology in this sector.

Your approach to delivering high performing account leadership will be by creating strategic supply chain partners, driving sustainable growth, statutory compliance, operational performance and governance in line with contractual obligations, ensuring successful contract delivery against agreed SLA/KPIs. You will manage the P&L, the people, the strategy affecting favourable client outcomes and all commercial aspects of the account.

Responsibilities:

  • Full accountability for all commercial and operational aspects of the Account ensuring all contractual obligations are met across the portfolio.
  • Lead and develop a talented team of people ensuring regular feedback through both formal and informal processes.
  • Manage a P&L of circa £10m including base and above base budgets to include reactive works, quoted works and project works, demonstrating value for money to the client whilst managing risk and identifying opportunities for strengthening the relationship as they arise.
  • Build strong strategic supply chain partners ensuring they are a true extension of the Bellrock team and fully integrated into the client’s delivery model.
  • Incorporate a data-led approach to bring the best out of our supply chain partners and offering a true value-for-money delivery to our customers.
  • Strategically develop the account in partnership with the client to offer additional services and "value add" as appropriate.
  • Develop strong client relationships based on trust, providing timely responses to requests for help and support.
  • Ensure continuous improvement across the Account through effective and efficient complaint resolution by identifying root cause and corrective actions.
  • Measure and monitor satisfaction across your Account and provide detailed reporting and analysis on satisfaction trends together with improvement plans as necessary.
  • Be the main point of escalation for the key client stakeholder and the internal team as required.
  • Promote a positive Health and Safety culture ensuring any issues and areas of concern are managed and addressed.
  • Promote the Bellrock culture within the business.
  • Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably assigned by the Operations Director which are consistent with the postholder's knowledge and skills necessary for the satisfactory completion of business needs.

Commercial:

  • Assist Operational Delivery Team and Supply Chain Manager with the performance management of assigned and direct contracts to ensure all KPIs are met.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly reports relating to areas of compliance and any other report required by the Client in accordance with the contract when requested by the Account Director.
  • Review the performance of all strategic supply chain partners as necessary to the effective day-to-day delivery of the maintenance and PPM service and liaise with Bellrock procurement/supply chain and planning as necessary in consultation with the Operational Team.

Technology:

  • Become familiar with the Data & Insights as well as Data Integrator systems and utilise to ensure that an overview of contract performance can be monitored, gauged and managed.
  • Provide full transparency to the customer to help drive decision making and be a strategic partner and extension of their operation.
  • Develop a full understanding of client technology systems and how they interact with Concerto to understand opportunities to develop the technology offer including the implementation of APIs, Applications & IOT.

Technical:

  • Be prepared to deliver comprehensive reporting information where required.
  • Conduct regular maintenance engineering audits and project records to ensure that high standards are upheld throughout the portfolio.
  • Manage and monitor the PPM schedule supporting supplier management & the delivery team.
  • Lifecycle and forward maintenance regime advice.
  • Ensure reporting & impact of engineering updates are delivered appropriately to key team members ensuring they are fully briefed with regard to budgets, control of expenditure and any potentially contentious issues arising within the buildings ongoing maintenance.

Risk Management:

  • Support on the Implementation of a SSOW procedure alongside the QSHE Director.
  • Review WRA/FRA written schemes, AE's/AP's are updated on an annual basis.
  • Review RAMs / COSHH policy and evaluate annually or as required.
  • Attend monthly/quarterly management meetings as and when required.

Business growth:

  • Ensure requests for additional services and variations are priced and documented in line with the contractual requirements with the relevant OPEX and lifecycle applied when applicable, by supporting the FM or Contract Manager.

What does it take?

  • Minimum of 5 years' management and operational experience, in client facing, national, multi-site FM contracts in the public or private sector.
  • Leading, coaching and developing a high performing team with a "hands-on" approach when needed.
  • Budgetary Management of a P&L of circa £5m-£10m.
  • Commercial experience in delivering all contractual obligations.
  • Ability to nurture a strong client relationship and organically grow an account.
  • Ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability objectives are met.
  • Managing multiple priorities and escalations in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
  • Data management, analysis and reporting.
  • Significant Hard FM experience desirable.

Working arrangements:
