As a Water Treatment Engineer you will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive water hygiene and treatment services across the London Fire Brigade estate and a range of other clients in the London area. The role involves monitoring, testing, remedial works and compliance tasks in line with current legislation, ensuring the highest standards of safety and service are maintained. You will work closely with site teams and clients, providing technical support and maintaining strong professional relationships.
Responsibilities
- Deliver full domestic and commercial water treatment services, including weekly and monthly system checks
- Carry out water risk assessments and compile findings
- Prepare general and site-specific risk assessments and method statements
- Ensure full compliance with COSHH regulations and safe chemical transportation
- Maintain and monitor cooling towers and closed loop systems
- Conduct temperature monitoring across systems
- Perform shower descaling
- Carry out CWST (cold water storage tank) inspections and disinfection
- Undertake closed loop system analysis and chemical dosing
- Take water samples and complete analysis
- Service and maintain TMVs
Working arrangements
We embrace smarter working practices which offer our employees the opportunity to work their hours flexibly and remotely where their roles and business needs allow. In this role, the successful candidate would be travelling to client sites to carry out the work. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a one hour lunch break.
