Bellrock Compliance are looking to grow our existing team of CDM consultants. This exciting role will involve working on a number of projects across public and private sectors on a mixture of new build, refurbishment, tall building remediation, and maintenance schemes, NHS, Universities and data centres. The role involves working on multiple projects across London, Home Counties, and the Southeast, visiting sites and reporting, as well as representing Bellrock Compliance to clients and contractors. The Safety Compliance team is thriving, with an ever-growing client base with great opportunities for training and development potential.

The role will include working closely with our clients and internal teams to deliver projects in a safe and compliant manner. We have set high standards for Health and Safety and are looking for individuals who can undertake the CDMA/PD roles with a professional, constructive, and collaborative approach. Client relationships are key to our continued success and as such we strongly promote active client engagement.
Senior CDM Principal Designer responsibilities
- You will be fulfilling the duties of the Principal Designer as defined under CDM 2015 including where necessary carrying out the role of CDM-Advisor to support the client.
- You’ll have relevant knowledge and understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and other relevant legislation, and you’ll be able to apply and implement those requirements at project level.
- You’ll be planning, managing, monitoring and coordinating pre-construction phases of projects to identify, eliminate, or control significant and foreseeable risks relating to construction, maintenance, cleaning and using the building as a workplace.
- You’ll work with the client to gather preconstruction information, assess the adequacy, identify gaps and provide advice on how they might be filled and distribute to those that need it.
- You’ll be managing multiple projects for key clients to the business particularly focused on the high-rise residential refurbishment, development and commercial sector.
- You’ll attend client meetings and carry out H&S site inspections and deliver high quality reports to the client within agreed deadlines.
- You will be providing clear, concise, and practical Health and Safety advice, guidance and coaching to project teams throughout all stages of the project.
- You’ll be responsible for collating, preparing and issuing Health & Safety Files to the client.
- You’ll be responsible for managing agreed fees, confirm invoicing, closing out appointments and supporting debtor control.
- You’ll be responsible for exploring potential cross-sell opportunities across the wider Bellrock teams.
What does it take?
- You have a minimum of 2–5 years experience in the construction industry with experience of CDM/Health and Safety issues in construction.
- You have excellent working knowledge and understanding of CDM 2015 and appropriate legislation.
- You hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- You ideally are an incorporated member of the Association for Project Safety (IMaPs) or IOSH.
- You have a full and clean driver’s license.
- You will need a willingness to travel to varied sites across London, Home Counties, and the Southeast.
- You will need to be well motivated.
- You will need to be a good communicator with interpersonal and organisational skills.
