Service Charge Consultant Leicester or Nearest Group Office (hybrid working available). Within the Consulting division of the Group, Real Estate is the UK’s leading service charge consultancy in the retail, leisure, office and industrial sectors. This position is not linked to a specific office, and the experienced team undertakes service charge consultancy on behalf of occupiers principally within the retail and leisure space. The client base is predominantly blue‑chip, advising many of the UK’s leading retailers and leisure companies. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of that growth and therefore requires an ambitious and highly motivated team player, who has the individual drive and enthusiasm to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the administration and management of service charge portfolios for key clients
- Analyse service charge budgets, reconciliations, and supporting financial documentation to identify risks, errors, and opportunities
- Review and interpret lease agreements and contractual terms to understand client obligations and potential challenges
- Identify discrepancies or areas of concern within service charge accounts and elevate or act accordingly
- Support and, where appropriate, lead negotiations with landlords and managing agents to resolve disputes and reduce client liabilities
- Use Bellrock’s in‑house platform (InsightRE™) to accurately manage, track, and analyse portfolio data
- Produce clear, concise reports and summaries highlighting key findings and recommendations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, landlords, managing agents, and other external stakeholders
- Communicate complex financial and lease‑related information in a clear and commercially relevant way
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, including analysts and senior consultants, to deliver high‑quality outputs
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
- Attend client meetings and, where required, travel to sites across the UK (and potentially Ireland)
- Continuously look for ways to improve processes, data accuracy, and overall service delivery
Skills & Experience
- Experience within commercial service charge consultancy (preferably from an occupier perspective)
- Understanding of service charge processes, including budgets, reconciliations, and lease obligations
- Experience communicating with landlords, managing agents, and professional stakeholders
- Ability to interpret lease terms and apply them in a commercial context
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to assess large volumes of financial data
- Confident communicator, able to present findings clearly and effectively
- Experience working in a client‑facing or advisory environment
