We are currently recruiting for a Cleaning Operative based at St Johns Ambulance - Redhill.
Pay rate: £12.60 per hour
Working patterns: Monday to Friday, 6pm to 8pm, 10 hours per week.
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintain an allocated building or area within a building to a high cleaning standard, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality service as per the contract.
- Empty waste bins or similar receptacles and transport waste material to designated collection points.
- Sweep floors with brushes or dust control mops.
- Mop floors with wet or damp mops.
- Suction clean carpeted areas and spot clean carpets.
- Use electrically powered scrubbing/polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish, and spray clean floors (after proper instruction and training).
- Dust, damp wipe, wash, or polish furniture, ledges, windowsills, external surfaces of cupboards, radiators, shelves, and fitments.
- Replenish consumable items such as soap, toilet rolls, and paper towels as required.
- Clean toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, and drinking fountains.
- Use chemical agents as directed, after proper instruction and training.
- Perform wall washing or inside window cleaning up to a height of body height plus arm’s extension during periodic maintenance.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall job function.
- Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines where appropriate.
- Perform any additional duties as required by management relevant to the role.
