Purpose of the Role
To manage the day-to-day running of Belleville Wix’s After School Club provision. This will involve developing an excellent club curriculum with engaging and enriching activities, leading and deploying a team of staff, engaging with parents/carers and ensuring all children and staff follow relevant policies and procedures to ensure safety and wellbeing.
Role Details
- Salary: Scale 6, Spine Point 18
- Hours: 20 hours per week inclusive of administration time, Monday to Friday, 2pm to 6pm school term time only. Expected to attend INSET days.
- Location: Belleville Wix Academy, Wix Lane, SW4 0AJ. May occasionally be required to visit other Q1E school sites.
- Contract type: Permanent
- Start date: as soon as possible
- Reporting to: Q1E Director of Finance
- Responsible for: After School Club staff team (after school club assistants)
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the after school club provision.
- Develop and deliver an engaging club programme and curriculum of activities.
- Lead and deploy a team of after school club assistants.
- Engage with parents and carers to keep them informed and involved.
- Ensure all children and staff follow relevant procedures to guarantee safety and wellbeing.
Qualifications and Skills
- Enthusiastic, positive and organised with strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well with children, staff, and parents while remaining calm under pressure.
- Experience in leading a team and developing club or similar activity programmes is an advantage.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and safeguarding procedures.
