The Company Founded in 1982, Bella Figura is one of the world's most exclusive decorative lighting companies. Based in Chelsea, London, we work primarily with the world's leading interior designers, architects, luxury hotels, property developers and yacht builders. Specialising in Art Deco inspired Murano glass table lamps, wall lights and chandeliers, our products are all hand‐made out of the highest quality materials by small, family‐run workshops across Europe.
Job Brief: We are seeking a driven and experienced Financial Controller to run our accounts team. Working from home, you will report directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for all aspects of finance including training and managing a team of two full‐time bookkeepers. As a small but rapidly growing company, flexibility and enthusiasm to take on new and exciting projects is a must. If you have a passion for developing and maintaining key business relations, and have experience in the luxury home furnishings industry, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and post all cash received
- Raise and post all payments to suppliers
- Supervise the regular updating of the debtor and creditor ledgers
- Prepare and post the monthly payroll and the quarterly VAT return
- Create and post all accruals and prepayments
- Supervise and manage two bookkeepers
- Manage the Company's insurances
- Prepare the Company's monthly accounts within three weeks of the month end
- Prepare the Company's annual accounts within three months of the year end
Skills required:
- At least five years experience as a Financial Controller, ideally with a luxury brand in the home furnishings industry
- At least two years experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Good time management and multitasking ability
- Experience working for an SME
- Experience managing employees
- Willingness to take on more responsibility as the role develops and grows
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas
