The Role:

• Design, program, configure, and implement PLC software for industrial automation.
• Debug, test, and validate control logic to meet performance standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate PLCs into wider control systems.
• Analyse and optimise existing logic for efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions, implement corrective actions, and reduce downtime.
• Produce detailed documentation, wiring diagrams, and I/O configurations.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards (ISO 9001).
• Use diagnostic tools such as Vector CANalyzer and CANfox.

The Requirements:

• Degree in Electronic/Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in Tier 1 or OEM sectors (on-highway/off-highway).
• Strong PLC programming knowledge (IEC 61131-3, CODESYS).
• Experience with debugging, control loop tuning, and signal processing.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
