The Role:
Design bespoke vehicles and metal fabrication products using SolidWorks/AutoCAD.
Produce accurate models, drawings, manuals, and technical documentation.
Liaise with production teams to ensure high-quality, cost-effective designs.
Conduct structural calculations, tolerance checks, and stress analysis.
Research materials and incorporate improvements to existing designs.
Log and resolve design issues, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
Support continuous improvement and contribute to health & safety compliance.
The Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years design engineering experience within metal fabrication.
Strong technical drawing skills and proficiency in SolidWorks/AutoCAD.
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of type approval processes.
Flexible approach and ability to work under pressure.
Desirable: Experience in hydraulics, electrics, or vehicle design.
