We’re a civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Manchester, and we need a capable Business Support Administrator to support business operations and improve efficiency across the team. 🔹 The Role: This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys improving processes and keeping things running smoothly. Key responsibilities include: * General Admin & Office Coordination – Managing records, office logistics, keeping documents up to date. * HR & Staff Support – Assisting with onboarding paperwork, tracking holidays, and admin tasks for staff. * Supplier & Expense Management – Dealing with suppliers, expenses, and internal processes. * Document & Report Formatting – Formatting reports, updating templates, and assisting with document preparation. * Basic Project & Client Support – Helping to track key deadlines and smooth workflows. * Occasional Event Planning – Assisting with company-sponsored networking events. * Administrative coordination – Including managing key communications and supplier interactions. * For a full-time candidate, responsibilities may also include additional client coordination and invoicing support. 🔹 What We’re Looking For: 1. Experienced and Organised – Ideally 3+ years in an admin, office support, or PA role, preferably in a small business. 2. Proactive & Independent – Takes ownership of tasks and finds solutions rather than waiting for instructions. 3. Strong Attention to Detail – Able to track deadlines, structure information clearly, and ensure nothing gets missed. 4. Tech-Savvy – Comfortable with Outlook, Excel, and basic document formatting. 5. Clear Communicator – Professional in handling correspondence and internal coordination.
