At Bell Lamb & Joynson, our Conveyancing team plays a key role in supporting clients through every stage of the home‐moving process. We are proud of the reputation we've built for delivering a clear, efficient, and client‐focused service, while managing transactions in a commercially sensible and professional way.

The role is initially office‐based, moving to a hybrid arrangement on completion of probation. The successful candidate will be hands‐on and collaborative, confident in managing their own caseload, and comfortable balancing high standards of client care with the pace and demands of a busy conveyancing environment. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage expectations, prioritise effectively, and guide clients clearly and pragmatically through their transaction to completion.

About Us Established in 1821, Bell Lamb & Joynson is a long‐established firm that continues to grow and evolve. We're one of the fastest‐growing traditional high street firms across Merseyside, North Cheshire, and the surrounding areas, with our success driven by great service, strong client relationships, and the people who deliver them.

We work hard to create a supportive, down‐to‐earth environment where colleagues are trusted to work commercially, make sound decisions, and take ownership of their files. As the firm continues to grow, so do the opportunities within it, and many of our conveyancers and solicitors have built long‐term careers here, developing their expertise, broadening their responsibilities, and progressing in a way that feels sustainable and rewarding.

What you will do in your working day:

  • Manage caseloads efficiently, accurately, and in line with timelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, estate agents, lenders, and colleagues, building strong, trusted relationships.
  • Maintain excellent standards of quality, compliance and file management.
  • Contribute to a positive, supportive, and collaborative team environment.
  • Resolve issues promptly using good judgement and a proactive approach.
  • Look for ways to improve processes to improve the client experience.
  • Provide confident, steady leadership with your assistant and colleagues, helping create a productive working environment.

  • Qualified Solicitor, CLC Conveyancing Licence, or Fellow of CILEx (FCILEx).
  • Part-qualified candidates actively working towards the above qualifications will also be considered.
  • 5 years' residential conveyancing experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of residential conveyancing.
  • Calm, confident, and professional manner.
  • Collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive, solutions‐focused mindset.
  • Commitment to compliance, accuracy, and high‐quality work.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and personal development.

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive salary £35-45K DOE.
  • Career development and progression opportunities.
