Lucy Legal LLP is a forward-thinking residential conveyancing practice with a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients.
We've built our reputation on combining technical excellence with a client-centred approach, and we're looking for a Senior Residential Conveyancer to join our Forest Hill office and help us sustain that standard.
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a more senior role within a practice where your expertise will be genuinely valued.
You'll be handling a mixed caseload of residential transactions—from straightforward house sales and purchases to more complex matters involving listed properties, new builds, and commercial elements.
What sets this role apart is the autonomy you'll have: you won't be processing transactions on an assembly line.
Instead, you'll be building real client relationships, managing your own matters from instruction through completion, and mentoring junior team members as they develop their skills.
The work is intellectually engaging, client-facing, and deeply satisfying when you help families move into their homes.
Your day-to-day will involve preparing and reviewing contracts, conducting searches and local authority enquiries, liaising with lenders and third parties, managing completion logistics, and advising clients on title issues and post-completion matters.
You'll develop and maintain strong relationships with estate agents, mortgage brokers, and fellow practitioners.
You'll take the lead on file management, identify risks early, and develop solutions—not simply elevate problems.
There's a real appetite here for practitioners who think strategically about transactions and client service.
We're looking for someone ready to progress into a senior practitioner role, with a clear trajectory towards managing a team or specialising in higher-value or more complex work.
The salary reflects both the responsibility of the role and our commitment to retaining talented conveyancers in London's competitive market.
