Overview
The Pentaho Developer ensures data projects are delivered in a structurally concise manner to end users, using the correct deployment methods to test/update/publish data.
This is a hybrid position, 3 days per week in London.
To be considered, you will be able to demonstrate deep data management expertise with excellent SQL design and engineering skills, strong BI development experience, including data manipulation, analysis, and visualisation skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop Business Objects reports and dashboard solutions for various business intelligence projects and write functional and technical specs.
- Manage incident tickets/JIRA tickets to fix issues with existing reports.
- Solid technical background and experience in reporting, Business Intelligence, and MIS applications.
- Understand and implement solutions to support physical data models necessary for business intelligence reporting initiatives.
- Design, develop, test, and support Oracle stored procedures and functions.
- Define and design the universe, BI dashboards, and reports.
- Develop, support, and improve existing BO systems, including both Universe and Reports.
- Document modifications of pre-existing development and new development for peer reference and knowledge transfer.
- Strong emphasis on delivering an excellent customer experience while working under pressure with urgency, and communicating professionally to all levels of the business.
- Communicate directly with team members to confirm requirements and clarify business rules.
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and take on new challenges while developing new skills.
- Excellent understanding of supporting and communicating with clients at all levels.
- Experience with Change Management tools such as ServiceNow.
- Experience in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Visio, SharePoint, and MS Project.
- Diligent in administration and reporting approach with strong stakeholder communication skills.
- Rigorous in scope management, managing customer expectations, controlling change, and negotiating compromise.
- Strong task and resource planning in a volatile matrix management environment.

- Pentaho – versions 8-10.x.
