We are seeking a Technical Trainer to lead impactful training programs across cutting-edge technologies, with a strong focus on Starburst, Dell Data Lake solutions, and Data Warehousing frameworks. This role plays a critical part in our AI & Data Practice, helping clients and internal teams gain the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to harness the full potential of their data architecture. You will contribute directly to our Training Academy’s mission: enabling organizations to implement and scale AI and data technologies — including cloud-native analytics, distributed SQL engines, and unified data lake strategies — to drive meaningful business outcomes.

  • Training Development
    • Design and develop high-quality training programs focused on Starburst, Dell Data Lakes, and Data Warehousing architectures.
    • Create engaging, hands-on materials such as labs, case studies, presentations, learning content that support enterprise data analytics adoption.
    • Ensure training material is tailored to a wide range of audiences, from data engineers to business analysts.
  • Training Delivery
    • This is not traditional teaching/training; this is facilitation, so it is critical to deliver workshop style interactive facilitation experiences that centre around your attendees.
    • Deliver live, virtual, and hybrid training sessions that promote hands-on exploration of Starburst and Data Lake environments.
    • Tailor instructional methods to suit technical and non-technical audiences; apply real-world scenarios from data warehouse modernization and lakehouse integration.
  • Training Evaluation
    • Actively seek feedback from participants and input from team members to ensure your content and delivery is always the best it can be.
    • Use feedback and learner analytics to refine future training experiences and drive continuous improvement.
  • Innovation & Alignment
    • Stay up to date with advancements in AI, data lakes, data warehouse technologies, and distributed query engines like Starburst.
    • Collaborate with the wider AI & Data team to align training strategies with organizational goals and emerging data platforms.
    • Integrate new methodologies, tools, and technologies to enhance training delivery and learner engagement.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Lead training initiatives involving modern data architectures, including Dell ECS/Elastic Data Lakes, Starburst Presto/Trino, and cloud-based data warehouse solutions.
  • Facilitate hands-on sessions that allow learners to work with distributed SQL engines and query federated data across hybrid environments.
  • Translate complex AI and data ecosystem concepts into accessible, role-relevant learning paths.
  • Utilize tools and techniques for interactive virtual learning: whiteboarding, simulations, and interactive exercises that mirror real-world data workflows.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience designing and delivering technical training, to both technical and non-technical users ideally within a software vendor, data platform provider, or cloud services organization.
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering, AI/ML fundamentals, and data platform architecture.
  • Experience with or exposure to Starburst, Dell Data Lakes, and Data Warehousing technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of breaking down complex topics into actionable insights.
  • Organized, adaptable, and confident delivering training across time zones and cultures.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites or training hubs.
