Overview

Reporting to: Head of Accounting

Responsible for: Support AI Practice

Based at: Remote-working options available. Where possible work in London office 2 days a week. There will be some meetings/events at Bell offices at York Road, London on an irregular basis.

Scope: 6 month Fixed Term Contract. Seeking a commercially driven and fully qualified Management Accountant to support our rapidly growing AI Practice. Providing financial insight, cost control, and performance analysis across AI-driven projects, solutions, and professional services solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Actual results monthly reporting, revenue accounting for fixed price, annuity and T&M, and owner of the data integrity
  • Assist in the monthly Forecast for the AI Practice (Professional Services Business), working close to the revenue leader to understand the forward load/planner and pipeline
  • Monthly reporting of revenue and gross margin by customer, deal, type
  • Clear understanding of the results versus forecast and budget, deal by deal, meaningful insights into the variances
  • Oversee financial tracking of AI projects, including time & materials, fixed-price, and subscription-based models
  • Ensure appropriate revenue recognition in line with accounting standards
  • Monitor project margins, utilisation rates, and cost performance
  • Assist in preparation of management accounts and reporting for all Bell entities, reconciling prior month accruals and the time sheets compliance
  • Prepare month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Responsible for intercompany reconciliations, invoices, recharges, and analysis
  • Support inputs into the Annual Operating Budget for AI
  • Develop, maintain and run financial models for day-to-day operation and perform analysis
  • Existing KPIs data management and building further metrics
  • Support external audits
  • Maintain robust documentation and audit trails for financial activities

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years post qualified experience – ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Preferable to have worked in a Technology company/Services company
  • Experience of using Microsoft Dynamics BC an advantage
  • Strong understanding of project accounting and revenue recognition principles
  • Advanced excel skills in financial modelling
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proactive and analytical mindset
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
