The Deputy Director of AI Solutions will serve as a strategic and technical leader, supporting the AI Solutions Director in driving enterprise-wide AI initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in AI Operations (AIops), IT Operations Management (ITOM), IT Service Management (ITSM), and ITIL frameworks, combined with strong technical knowledge of infrastructure, Agentic AI, automation, and orchestration. In addition, the role encompasses working with Conversational AI vendors and delivery of solutions to partners. The ideal candidate bridges business objectives with cutting edge AI technologies to optimize IT operations and deliver scalable, intelligent solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the deputy to the AI Solutions Director, ensuring alignment of AI strategy with organisational goals.
  • Provide thought leadership support to the AI Solutions Director in delivering the vision of the department.
  • Lead design and implementation of AI‑driven IT operations solutions, including AIops platforms, automation frameworks, and Conversational AI.
  • Oversee integration of Agentic AI models for autonomous decision‑making and orchestration across IT environments.
  • Support the adoption of ITIL best practices within AI‑enabled ITSM and ITOM processes.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver end‑to‑end orchestration solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership on infrastructure modernisation to support AI workloads and automation pipelines.
  • Monitor emerging AI technologies and assess their applicability to IT operations and enterprise automation.
  • Work with vendors and support the Digital Services Team where Bell manages the vendors’ platform on behalf of a client.
  • Support strategic partnerships and maintain a deep understanding of the platforms used by partners or hosts as part of the ongoing relationship.

    Qualifications

    • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    • Experience in solution architecture and technical leadership roles.
    • Proven experience in stakeholder management and cross‑functional team leadership.
    • Strong background in solutions architecture frameworks and methodologies.
    • Experience with project management and solution delivery.
    • Background screening and security clearance as required by organisation.
