The AI Assurance Certification Specialist will ensure Bell Integration achieves and maintains AI certification standards, complies with evolving global AI regulation, and delivers trusted assurance to customers. A central focus will be leading the delivery and maintenance of ISO/IEC 42001 certification for AI Management Systems, embedding its requirements into operations, and integrating AI governance into the wider assurance framework. The role will also provide direct customer assurance support, acting as a key contact for AI audits, RFI’s, RFP’s, and customer compliance queries, building trust in Bell’s AI solutions on a global scale.
Responsibilities
- Certification and Compliance Delivery
- Lead the delivery and ongoing maintenance of ISO/IEC 24001 certification.
- Ensure AI governance, risk management, and lifecycle processes align with ISO 42001 requirements.
- Translate AI-specific risks (e.g. bias, transparency, explainability, accountability) into effective compliance controls.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and audit evidence to demonstrate conformity.
- Customer Assurance Delivery
- Act as a primary contact for customer assurance requests, audits, and due diligence relating to AI.
- Support RFP’s, RFI’s, and customer facing audits with clear compliance evidence.
- Partner with product and customer success and AI teams to articulate Bell’s AI compliance posture and build confidence in adoption.
- Develop scalable processes for recurring assurance requests.
- Global Regulatory Alignment
- Monitor, interpret, and implement requirements from global AI regulations (e.g. EU AI Act, NIST, AI RMF, OECD guidelines and other future emerging guidelines, standards and regulations).
- Ensure alignment between ISO 42001 and emerging laws to future-proof compliance.
- Collaborate with the legal team to provide expert guidance to leadership on the impact of new regulations on AI operations and assurance.
- Continuous Improvement and Reporting
- Deliver measurable improvements in audit readiness, assurance response times, and certification efficiency.
- Establish metrics and dashboards for AI compliance performance.
- Drive continuous improvement of AI governance, data management, and assurance practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering ISO certifications (Ideally ISO/IEC 42001, ISO 27001, and other related standards).
- Strong knowledge of AI governance, model lifecycle assurance, and risk management frameworks.
- Familiarity with ISO 42001 clauses, including:
- AI risk management and impact assessment.
- Data quality, integrity, and governance.
- Transparency, explainability, and accountability in AI systems.
- Human oversight and ethical AI considerations.
- Monitoring, incident handling, and continuous improvement.
Skills
- Strong ability to produce compliance documentation, policies, and audit evidence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain AI compliance topics to technical teams, senior leaders, and customers.
- Analytical and detail-oriented approach to managing audits and assurance processes.
