We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join our leadership team within a larger Early Years setting. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong early years professional with proven leadership experience to support the Manager in delivering outstanding care and education, while ensuring full compliance with the EYFS and statutory requirements.

About the Role

As Deputy Manager, you will play a key leadership role in supporting and guiding our Room Leaders and practitioners to deliver a varied, stimulating, and high-quality educational experience for every child. You will:

  • Lead and support Room Leaders in delivering an exciting and engaging Early Years curriculum
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the EYFS and the Statutory Framework
  • Ensure rooms are fully compliant with statutory and legal requirements
  • Regularly review room environments, resources, and daily routines
  • Identify staff strengths and support professional development
  • Train, mentor, and coach staff within the rooms
  • Work closely with the Manager to implement improvements and maintain high teaching and learning standards
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Uphold and champion safeguarding standards, ensuring all children are protected and cared for in line with statutory guidance and the setting’s safeguarding policies

The main purpose of this role is to ensure teaching, learning, and care are delivered to an exceptional standard, and that all rooms consistently meet compliance and quality expectations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year Deputy Manager experience (essential)
  • Experience within a larger Early Years setting (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS and Statutory Framework
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding early years education
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
