Bell Cambridge has opportunities for EFL teachers to join our dedicated and experienced academic team on a temporary, ad-hoc basis over the summer months June - August. Applicants must have either a Cambridge English teaching qualification (CELTA/Delta) or a Trinity London teaching qualification (CERT/Dip) and have the right to work in the UK. We cannot offer accommodation so applicants must live in Cambridge, or within a sensible commuting distance.

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan, prepare, teach and where appropriate design courses and lessons.
  • Assess, and provide feedback on achievement, progress and development needs.
  • Set, evaluate and mark students' course work, homework and other assignments.
  • Carry out and mark placement tests and regular diagnostic, progress and summative testing.
  • Induct students and provide academic/educational guidance and tutorial support to students.
  • Supervise students' attendance and behaviour as appropriate.
  • Attend meetings as required and attend/deliver INSETT sessions as directed.

About You:

  • Cambridge English Language Teaching Qualification (CELTA/DELTA) or a Trinity College London Teaching Qualification (CERT/Dip).
  • First Degree.
  • Experience of teaching adult general English at a range of levels.
  • Strong communication skills.

  • Ability to use own initiative and plan lessons independently.
