Bell Cornwall Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established, Legal 500 criminal defence law firm in the Jewellery Quarter area of Birmingham. They are looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join their team to support across insolvency and commercial litigation, civil fraud, tax litigation, and financial crime amongst others.
Duties and responsibilities of Litigation Paralegal include (but are not limited to):
- Prepare correspondence and formal documents including pleadings, brief to counsel and witness statements.
- Prepare trial bundles and attend court hearings.
- Develop an excellent working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
- Prepare detailed disclosure reports/requests and notes for hearings and trials.
- Undertake legal research to a high standard.
Experience required:
- Minimum 2:1 law degree from Russell Group university or subsequent conversion.
- BTC/LPC is desirable but not essential.
- Driven to learn and long-term desire to qualify.
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills with experience/interest in advocacy.
- Happy in the office 5 days a week.
