Part Time Financial Controller (22.5 hours) in Solihull, £42,600 p/a pro rata.
Bell Cornwall Recruitment are delighted to be working with a rapidly growing SME in the travel industry. Due to their growth, they are looking for a Part Time Financial Controller (22.5 hours - 3 days a week). They are at the exciting point in which they want to bring their finance function in-house, so you must be happy to help implement and embed processes and also get stuck in with the transactional accountancy side of things. They are located on the Birmingham Business Park (Solihull).
Duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Lead the budgeting process, offering variance analysis and recommending opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
- Monitor cash flow to maintain liquidity and create short- and long-term cash flow forecasts.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, manage annual audits, and stay up to date with evolving financial regulations and best practices.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments and collections.
- Create and optimize financial systems and reporting tools for greater efficiency and accuracy.
The successful candidate:
- CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar role with a strong financial management background.
- Proficient in financial software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- A can-do, positive attitude, with a genuine enthusiasm to grow with the company.
