We’re proud to be working in partnership with one of Yorkshire’s most respected and progressive insurance brokers, currently seeking an experienced Corporate Account Handler to join their brand-new Sheffield office – conveniently located near the M1. This role has become available due to an internal promotion, a testament to the company’s commitment to developing and progressing its people. The Role:
You’ll be working closely with two Account Directors, supporting a diverse portfolio worth approximately £2.5 million GWP. The book covers a broad mix of commercial risks and industry sectors, offering a varied and rewarding workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide responsive and professional support to clients, maintaining exceptional service standards
- Manage all aspects of policy renewals, mid-term adjustments, and documentation
- Liaise with insurers to negotiate favourable terms and ensure comprehensive cover
- Review policy wordings and ensure all documentation is accurate and FCA-compliant
- Support new business broking and onboarding processes
- Contribute to internal best practice sharing and support less experienced team members
- Use Acturis and other systems to manage client workflows and documentation
About You:
- Proven experience in commercial or corporate insurance account handling
- Strong technical understanding of commercial insurance products and markets
- Confident in negotiating with underwriters and maintaining insurer relationships
- Working knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance frameworks
- Proficient in using Acturis (preferred) or other broking systems
- Cert CII qualified, with a desire to progress toward ACII
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proactive mindset
