Are you ready to take the next step in your insurance career? An exciting opportunity has arisen with a well-established insurance broker based at their South Yorkshire office. Following an internal restructure, the business is looking to appoint a motivated professional to manage and grow its SME client portfolio. This role is ideal for someone with SME insurance experience who’s ready to make their mark. Initially desk-based, the position offers a clear path to progressing into a full Executive role, including face-to-face client meetings for renewals and new business.

You'll work closely with the Managing Director, who brings a wealth of industry knowledge and is committed to your development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage an existing book of business generating over £200,000 in income
  • Build lasting client relationships and develop a deep understanding of their insurance needs
  • Handle premiums ranging from £300 to £20,000
  • Manage renewals and proactively drive high retention levels
  • Communicate daily with underwriters and foster strong market relationships
  • Broker risks for both new and renewing clients
  • Identify and convert upselling opportunities within the existing portfolio
  • Use insurer portals to process new business and renewals
  • Take initial claims notifications and liaise with relevant colleagues
  • Collaborate closely with the Corporate team
  • Use Acturis on a daily basis
