The Role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent role focused on identifying and securing new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing clients. You will play a key role in supporting BBP’s continued growth by developing strategic partnerships, identifying opportunities across our target sectors, and working closely with internal teams to convert leads into successful projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across BBP’s core sectors including industrial, commercial, refurbishment, and cladding remediation projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends, frameworks, and upcoming opportunities to support the company’s growth strategy.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of opportunities, ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting.
  • Lead or support the preparation of prequalification submissions, proposals, and tender documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with estimating, design, and project delivery teams to ensure successful bid submissions.
  • Represent BBP at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings to promote the company’s services.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans aligned with company objectives.

  • Proven experience in a Business Development, Sales, or Client Relationship role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK construction market and procurement routes.
  • Excellent networking, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and convert leads into secured projects.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with a professional and proactive approach.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
