The Role
We are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join our dynamic Construction team. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facades remediation projects. You will be ensuring sites are operating at optimal performance in terms of budget adherence, quality control, and project timelines, while prioritising site safety and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Manager in overseeing daily site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and minimising risks to workers and the public.
- Assist in supervising site personnel and subcontractors to maintain productivity, morale, and quality of work.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, flagging any issues to senior management and assisting in verifying work quality before payment authorisations.
- Participate in regular site meetings and contribute to progress tracking to help ensure project milestones are met.
- Assist with the coordination of snagging and defect resolution, ensuring timely completion of outstanding items.
- Help implement quality control procedures and assist in resolving technical issues in line with company standards.
- Conduct routine inspections and support testing processes to ensure works meet required specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Maintain up-to-date site records, drawings, and other documentation in line with company protocols.
- Assist in compiling project handover documentation, including Operation & Maintenance manuals and Health & Safety files.
- Track material usage and report on any variances against budgets, supporting the Site Manager in cost control and procurement activities.
- Help coordinate timely deliveries and the proper storage of materials to prevent delays and minimise waste.
- Undertake additional tasks as directed to support the successful delivery of the project and broader business goals.

- Prior experience working as a #1 Site Manager on a live project, ideally with fire reinstatement works/ cladding.
