Overview
My client is a fast-growing commercial business based in the Manchester Airport area.
Due to growth my client is recruiting for a Group Management Accountant. Reporting to the Head of Group Accounting this is looking for someone who is qualified and has group reporting experience.
Role
This role sits within the Group Finance function and is responsible for managing Management Accounting activity across the business, ensuring the timely production of accurate and technically robust management accounts, in alignment with group finance service levels.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the month end close process, ensuring the ledgers are all closed to strict deadlines.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the accounts, calculate and post relevant journals to ensure the accounts are reflective of underlying financial performance.
- Ensure that all balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support the development of continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of all aspects of the divisional accounts.
Qualifications
My client is looking for someone who is qualified, or at the point of qualification. You will have an extremely keen eye for detail and be excellent on excel. In addition, you will be confident and comfortable presenting and working with senior stakeholders β meeting with the business to deliver the month end review is a vital part of the role. There is a clear succession path within the business for the right person.
Working pattern
This role offers hybrid working, 2 or 3 days in the office per 5 business days.
